Associate Professor William Wang is a consultant cardiologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Conjoint Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland and a visiting medical officer at St Andrew’s Private Hospital in Ipswich. He is engaged in private practice at both Ipswich Cardiac Centre and Brisbane Cardiology.
William graduated from the University of Sydney, completing his residency and specialist training at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Hospital. He holds a Master of Medicine (Sydney University) and earned a PhD from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom for research in heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and genetics.
William’s interests include clinical cardiology, prevention and treatment of ischaemic heart disease, hypertension, valvular diseases, heart failure and cardiomyopathies.
