Cardiac Catheterisation

Cardiac Catheterisation refers to a number of different procedures involving the insertion of a catheter into a blood vessel for diagnostic testing; such as coronary angiography, right and left heart catheterisation.

The catheter is a thin and flexible plastic tube that can be inserted into patient’s groin, wrist, elbow or neck depending on the procedure to be performed.
