Transthoracic Echocardiogram (Echo, TTE)

A Transthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE) is a routine test utilising ultrasound technology to produce real time images and movies of your heart muscle, valves, blood vessels and blood flow.

From these images, the size, structure and function of your heart is measured and evaluated.

ON THE DAY

Please wear a two piece outfit, as you will be required to remove clothing from the waist up. You will be given a gown to wear during the test.

LOCATION

This test is performed at the Brisbane Cardiology Office.

Medicare rebate is available.

DURATION

15 to 30 minutes.
